This position serves as the property analyst for the Property Services Division (PSD) within the Bureau of Local Government and School Services Division.
The property analyst is a professional property assessor, personal property examiner and analyst regarding mass appraisal, property tax assessment administration and equalization matters. This position assists in the creation of supporting data and documents necessary for the district supervisor to make recommendations regarding practices and procedures to the Division and the State Tax Commission (STC), assists the STC by supporting the district supervisor in the determination of recommendations necessary for mandated state equalization and supports the administration of the General Property Tax Act, PA 206 of 1893.
This position requires considerable independent judgment in the development of appraisals and reports that will ultimately be used in State Equalization Values within Michigan Counties, those reports are subject to oversight and modification by the district supervisor.
